Thanks for Scheduling!

thank you for taking the time to schedule an Assessment with us!

we truly appreciate it.

What do you need to bring?

  1. Clothes to move in. We have space for you to change if needed.

  2. Water bottle. What we are doing may not be very strenuous for you, but maybe you will get thirsty.

It’s important to us that you feel informed and as comfortable as possible going into the assessment. It’s ok to be nervous before we chat, we can get nervous too! Here is a general structure of our consultation:

  1. Learning: This is where we learn about what brought you to the point of booking this assessment. Now we don’t need to know everything about you. We don’t need to know about your favourite colour, your most embarrassing moment in high school, or if you think a hot dog is a sandwich (it’s not). But you can share if you would like.

We will be asking some questions to understand you as much as we can. It’s important to us that we understand where you are coming from. If we ask something that you are not comfortable answering that is fine! Just tell us to shut up :)

Things we could ask include: where you are from, what you do for work, what your experience with exercise is, how much golf experience you have, etc.

  2. Assessment: This is where we learn more about how you move. We will put you through the TPI Movement Screen (which takes about 10 minutes). Afterwards, you will receive a Golf Fitness Handicap. These results will be emailed to you after the session. We will discuss how your assessment results can influence your golf performance.

  3. Process to Progress: Based on the assessment we will discuss a process to address certain findings and get you the results that you are looking for. If needed a further consultation will be scheduled. Now we are not fortune tellers, nor do we offer quick fixes. We strive to find long-term solutions for clients and we will discuss what that solution requires and the costs (time, effort, and money) associated.

  4. Questions and Concerns: We want you to feel confident in our plan. This drastically increases the likelihood of success. If you have any questions or concerns, the floor will be yours and we will go through them until we are both on the same page.

  5. Enrolment/Next Steps: If we choose to work together we will discuss the next steps for us. This will include a mutual contract, gathering information needed to get you started, and determining a start date. If someone or something else is needed instead of my services we will discuss where to go from there.

If you have any questions you would like answered before our consultation, you can reach us by email (info@newnarrativetraining.ca) or on Instagram (@newnarrativetraining).
